Peruvian Pisco

Peruvian Pisco Liqueur is a designation of origin reserved for the alcoholic beverage grape brandy that has been produced in Peru since the late 16th century.1 It is the typical distillate of this country, made from the fermented wine of certain varieties of grapes (Vitis vinifera), whose value has crossed its borders, as attested by the records of shipments made through the port of Pisco to Europe and other areas of America since the 17th century, such as the United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal, Guatemala, Panama, and the United States, since the mid-19th century.
